Occupational Therapy

At Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy (OT) is an integral part of our comprehensive approach to patient care. Occupational Therapy focuses on helping individuals develop the "skills for job living" – everything from dressing and grooming to driving and working. By applying the proven techniques and latest technologies, Occupational Therapists enable individuals with physical and functional challenges to achieve as much independence as possible in their daily activities.

Treatment is designed specifically for an individual's needs following a traumatic brain or spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, surgery, or other orthopedic or neurologic injury. OT also offers specialized treatment for hand and upper extremity conditions, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tendonitis, fractures, strains/sprains and arthritic pain.
