Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation presented with Gallup Great Workplace Award

West Orange, NJ - Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation has been named one of this year's recipients of the prestigious Great Workplace Award from The Gallup Organization. The award recognizes those companies with the best performing workforces in the world and Kessler is one of only 25 companies to receive this honor this year.

The award, the first of its kind for Kessler, is based on the most rigorous workplace research ever conducted, according to The Gallup Organization, which noted that the rehabilitation hospital "demonstrates one of the most productive and engaged workforces in the world."
"The winners of this award have established a new global standard for engaging people," said Tom Rath, who leads Gallup's Workplace and Leadership Consulting practice. "When compared to the millions of workgroups we have studied around the world, the awardees have worked tirelessly to create an environment that values people. They go far beyond trivial perks to ensure that each employee has an emotional connection to the company's mission and growth."

Gallup's research clearly shows that engagement links to many aspects of well-being, including how people evaluate their overall lives and experience their days, explained James K. Harter, Ph.D., Gallup's chief scientist of workplace management and wellbeing. Kessler joins such well-known national and international organizations as Campbell Soup, Stryker, Standard Chartered Bank and Bharti Airtel Limited in a group that represents all facets of business from healthcare to hospitality, retail to manufacturing, and banks to insurance.
